Code of Conduct:

Should you be having a problem with; members, rules, running or other things please bring it up with an officer. We will do our best to help you out; our goal is to be fair in running Dynamis.
Please keep personal problems outside of the LS. Scarlet has been around for a while as a social ls with very little drama. We would like to keep it that way. That being said, Scarlet will continue to be a social ls, but also be running Dynamis with the possibility of other runs in the future.
Ninja loting will not be tolerated, you will be removed from the ls should you steal an item.
Excessive cursing, profanity and so on will result in warning and possible ban if it becomes a problem.

Joining Scarlet For Dynamis:
After applying to Scarlets Dynamis runs a 5-10 minute interview with a sac holder of scarlet is require to ensure you have read the rules of Scarlet and understand our policies. This will also allow you to ask any questions you may have before joining. From there the officer at his or her discretion will allow you into the Dynamis section of Scarlet. If you have questions about this feel free to contact an officer.
To join scarlet for dynamis you must have a mage level 65+ or a melee level 70+. Please understand the risks involved in running dynamis. Experience is lost in dynamis frequently. You are not required to join the social branch of Scarlet if you choose not to, but why not? We have plenty going on over on the social ls.

Joining Scarlet Knights Social LS

All that we require is that you are friendly and playing the game to have fun.

Attendance:
If you are online during a run you are expected to be there. We don’t have the numbers we need to do otherwise. When this changes we will discuss changing this rule. If you are online and not running with us we will adopt the -1 point per hour policy.
You are to show up on time! If you are late you WILL NOT receive the point for that hour. Showing up 15mins early will award you 1 point. (Screen shots will be taken 15mins prior to run and then on every hour as well as at the end of the run.)
If you are in another Dyna shell, you will be kicked.

Extended leave from Scarlet:
Should you be unable to attend runs with Scarlet, an officer needs to be notified and a post should be made in the forums.  If you do not notify an officer you risk a loss of points and an inability to lot on items.

That being said, members that are unable to run for an extended amount of time should be aware that their points will be locked. A member that does not run with us for one month or more will be removed from priority for an item on their wish list for a month.  Should they earn more points than others members during that month for such an item they will gain priority again.

                For example, Kiami has been gone for a month because she went to see her family. She posted on the forum to notify the officers she hasn’t just vanished. She returns and is after the whm relic. Now normally she would have priority over the new member, we’ll call him Irollmyface for said item being she has 80 points to his 10 points. However, currently her points are locked and unavailable for use. Irollmyface gets the item. Now he has 5 points because he received that item. A few runs down the road irollmyface has 15 points and Kiami has earned 20 since she’s returned. Her 80 points she’s earned before are still locked but another whm item they both want drops. Kiami now gets the item as she has earned enough points in that first month back to have more points than irollmyface.  Once the month is up Kiami will have access to all of her points again including the ones she has earned.

Should you decide not to post in this forum this may result in the loss of points and/or removal from the LS. Again this is handled on a case by case basis. Please feel free to contact an officer if you have any questions or concerns.

Leaving and Returning to Scarlet:
This will be handled by a case by case basis. A majority of member that have left and wish to return will be denied as they have shown a lack of dedication to the LS. Members that are allowed to return, may or may not have their points returned to them.  Again this is on a case by case basis, there are too many circumstances to be brought up.

Times:
Runs will be at 8pm cst (6pm pst, 9est) on Sunday and Thursday.
Runs:
Cities will be cleared first since we are currently rebuilding, we will have a lot of new members. We will get to snow and dream worlds as soon as possible. If you need help getting access to any of this please let us know.
While in the run you are to put your hour glass into your bazaar for 1gil.

Runs:
 1.    Please pay attention to what is going on around you
A lot of problems in Dynamis can be avoided simply by listening to what the people in charge say and understanding situations. Also, automatic movement such as autorun and /follow are very, very, VERY bad in Dynamis. Do not use them whatsoever, as unexpectedly running into a mob can ruin the entire run. Turn off your Auto auto target and use the “/assist” command. Assist members will be named at the beginning of every run.

2.    Do not AFK w/o notification of some sort.
If you have to go AFK please temp log in a safe spot (ask a leader if unsure). In Dynamis certain monsters will trigger repops throughout the maps, and an otherwise 'safe' spot can turn into a deadly gauntlet of monsters. Causing these monsters to become active is a threat to the entire Dynamis run.
               -please do not AFK the last 10 mins of the run. Something may drop that you will be require to pass on.

The AFK Rule – (implemented Jan 16th 2010)

Due to recent events of member’s afking in Dynamis for extended amounts of time, a new rule has been put into play. Members will no longer be able to afk for longer than ten minutes. People are depending on you to be here. This isn’t an event you can’t plan for; it is the same times every week. We are an endgame ls and require the best from our players every night. We do realize real life does interfere at times and AFK’s will be handled on a case by case basis.

That being said, when in a party a member that afk’s for such a long time is often left behind and replaced. So we find this to be no different than most game factors.

For those that AFK for extended periods of time will be removed from the Dynamis run. A member removed from the run will not receive points for the remainder of the run. Should this become a problem further action will be taken on a case by case basis and may involve the loss of points and incentive. Officers reserve the right to decide on punishment for AFK’s and will be decided by more than one officer.

3.    Complaints.
Should you have a complaint, please contact an officer. Please understand they may be busy or may miss your tells. Should you feel ignored try another tell or tell another officer. A section in the forums will also be available for complaints. Please stick to the code of conduct when posting.

4.    Show up ready and on time!
This means with your gear and potions for the job you wish to come with. We will do our best to have lists out early for what jobs we want you to be on. Bring anything you can to improve your performance as this will affect the outcomes of our runs.

5.    Please don't try to run things!
We have plenty of officers that have put a lot of dedication and time into making sure things go as smoothly as possible. Please allow them make sure everything is taken care of. This includes the zone we will be running, currency, drops, DKP and other random items. Trying to make calls on these things causes confusion, deaths in dynamis, longer wait times and more.

6.    The "Well my LS did it this way" Rule:
Scarlet is a relatively new Dynamis LS, and is frequented by similiarly new players. As such, runs continue to be a learning experience. This is to be expected. We realize that some people come from other Linkshells, that may or may not run things the same, or have the same skill level. Constructive criticism has it's place, and that is NOT over linkshell during a run. Anyone seen contradicting the officers or complaining about how a run isn't as good as a previous LS, ect. will be given ONE warning. After this time, if it is witness again, that player will be removed from the Linkshell, no questions asked. The worst thing that can happen to a linkshell is to have it broken apart by frequent complaints and sowwing the group with doubt. That being said, suggestions can be made (in a respectful manner) between the player and the officers. Again, save it for after the run. 

7. Respect your officers.
If you disrespect an officer and their leadership at any time you will be warned. After this warning you will be kicked from the LS.

8. Drama Lama Rule
When you are in Scarlet, Social, dynamis, sky or any other event. Leave your drama at the door. This doesn't mean if you have a problem not to bring it up. But do it properly, do not start fighting in the LS. Officers will be putting an end to this.

Multiple jobs:
Come as the job you wish to attend the run as, however due to the size of scarlet you may be asked to come as another job. Please be prepared for this and understanding we will do our best to help you run with a job you enjoy. We will also try to alternate who is asked to change. The more members we have the less we will have to do this.

Points:

One point will be awarded 15 min before run and then 1 for every hour after once started.
Scarlet is using the DKP system.  You may go negative once to obtain gear unless obtaining gear on the need before greed policy. (read bellow.)
Dual Boxing:
-If you wish to dual box you will need to sign up for an audition. See a sack holder or shell holder to do this.
- Full points will be awarded to players chosen main character and 1 points for every 3 points earned on the dual box character will be awarded.   For example, your main earns 4 points 1st run, 5 points the 2nd run and 4 points the 3rd run your dual box would receive a total of 4 points because your main has received 13 points. When an additional 2 points are earned (total of 15 points) your dual box will receive 5 points.
-should you bring your dual box only you will receive full points for that character.
-you can change your character at the beginning of every month.
Multiple characters:
-if you have a second character that isn’t dual boxed that you wish to bring you will receive separate points per character. Should you be asked to bring a different character when trying to bring another, points will be discussed on a case by case basis. This is strongly discouraged.

What do I do if I don’t receive the right number of DKP for a run?
Should for some reason you find your DKP to be incorrect please contact an officer. We will work with you to make sure everything is correct and up to date. Mistakes do happen so please try to be patient and not become angry with the officers.

Drops:
One job may be selected for your wish list in each zone: Sandy, bastok, windy, jeuno, beaucedine, xarcabard and dreamworld. You may change the jobs you have selected at the beginning every month
If you wish for an item from Beacedine/Xarcabard/Dreamwolds, you must be 65+ and be willing to bring that job to Dynamis.
For cities, a need before greed will be in play. You may still list items for jobs that are bellow 65 but should someone with a 65+ need said item and have less points priority will go to them. However person going for the item must have double the points that the item is worth (10 points) only 5 points will be taken like any other item (you cannot go negative for this). This will mostly be honor based, but officer will be watching for greed.
City AF cost: 5 points
Snow/Dreamwold AF cost: 15
Currency: Will go to ls bank, no lotting will be allowed. This will pay for our runs. Profit will be incentive given out monthly.
Craft: is left to fall into any inventory no lotting.
Weapons will be free lot no points.

Bank:
Based on how many points you earn during the month, you will receive a percentage of our earnings. We keep enough for a month of runs in the bank, and what is left after that is split amongst the members based on attendance for the month.
Because of this you are to buy your own items for dynamis. Potions, food, scrolls, ect. You are expected to keep reraise up as often as possible, this is included for melee. This will speed up runs and make things go smoother. (That means more drops for you)

Durring a dynamis run a lot of currency drops. You will see an officer lotting on all such currency.  This currency is then sold to pay for the hourglasses we use to run dynamis. At the end of the month players will receive what is referred to as incentive. Incentive is the remaining gil from the currency divided between ls members. The more DKP a member has earned the more incentive the player will receive.
Should you wish to purchase some currency from Scarlet, please contact an officer and we will work out selling you currency.

Non-member Dynamis runs:
We will not be allowing non scarlet members to run with us. If you have a friend that isn’t in the ls and wishes to run with us you may invite them to apply to the ls to run with us. There is too many risks for the ls to be running members outside the ls.

LS Leaders:
Issues with leaders/rules
If you have a problem with one of the leaders or rules in the ls please post on the forums or let an officer know. Stating your opinion in a constructive manor will not get you banned. We would like to keep an open door policy in scarlet.
    Leader Code of Conduct.
LS leaders are not above any of the rules.
A leader is not allowed to ban any member without a vote from leaders unless offense of immediate ban has been performed. (Ninja looting for example)
LS leaders are expected to set an example to other member. They should be open and honest with all other players. They should work together and help in developing strategy for running dynamis.
Officer meetings will be held often to help discuss these things and more.

Purchasing currency from Scarlet:
Prices will vary with the economy, expect to pay the economy average.

Alternate Event Runs:
Every now and then, a non-dynamis run will be brought up. This includes popped NMs for items like R Pumps or Bomb Queen Ring, but also mission advancement, such as Promyvions or Assults. All members, Social or Dynamis, are welcome to attend these events. It is expected however, that you take initiative, look up the NMs or the strategies, to have a general idea of what will be going on, what cutscenes need to be completed, what items need to be brought, ect. Officers will not be repeating themselves for every member who comes on and asks how to do it. There are many websites to assist with this, foremost being www.ffxiclopedia.org. If you do not have access to internet or the computer, ask your friends. More often than not, you'll find alot of them have the experience already.
